Break the Frame

In the 2016 Annual Student Exhibit, Critical Exposure youth use photography to Break the Frame of how they’re perceived in their schools and communities. They create new frames, new ways of seeing the world through their eyes. Frames hold more than pictures and photographs. How we frame an image or an idea determines the perspective we bring or portray. Framing is needed to start a meaningful conversation, to identify our values, and to work together to create positive change.

Join us on June 2nd from 6-9pm as D.C. youth Break the Frame of how they’re portrayed and tell us their story.
